Eligibility Criteria for West Pokot County Jobs 2024

These include a Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority, a Higher Education Loans Board clearance, an Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission clearance, a Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, and clearance from a recognized Credit Reference Bureau.

Chairperson – County Audit Committee

Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: -Accounting, Auditing, Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration (Accounting option) from a university recognized in Kenya.
A master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
Professional qualifications relevant to their field.
Be a registered member of ICPA(K)and in good standing ;At least ten(10) years professional experience at senior management level in the wider public service or private sector.
Have a thorough understanding of the relevant legislations, best practices and emerging issues in Accounting ,Auditing, Risk Management ,Finance,Economics,Business Administration,Procurement,Law and other related fields;
Have a good understanding of the County Government operations and financial management reporting and auditing;

Member, West Pokot Audit Committee (3 Post)

Possess at least an undergraduate, degree from a recognized university in any of the following fields: Finance, Procurement, Engineering, Law, Business Administration and any other relevant fields:
Be a registered member of a relevant professional body and in good standing;
Progressive work experience of not less than five (5) years with at least three (3) years experience at managerial level;

Member of the County Public Service Board (1 Post)

A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Social Sciences from a University recognized in Kenya.
Working Experience of at least five (5) years in administration and management.
Demonstrated professional competence and managerial capabilities; and clear understanding of the Legislation, Policy Framework governing the County Public Service, National Goals, Values and Principles of Governance.
Satisfies the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on Leadership & Integrity.
Should not be a state or public officer.
