Yes, the application form for KDF recruitment in 2024 is out. Following the announcement of the latest recruitment exercise of Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), the form was released. 

Candidates interested in joining the military body can now access KDF portal to get, fill, and submit the form to get an approval of joining the organization.

The latest news currently concerning KDF recruitment is the disclosure of the application details. The application is scheduled to begin on 26th August, 2024 till 19th September, 2024.

During this period interested candidates are to follow up the recruitment by submitting their applications as specified.

KDF Jobs/Vacancies 2024

The current positions available for recruitment at KDF comprises two (2) separate cadets with each of them possessing different qualifications

1. General Service Officer Cadet

• Applicant must possess a mean grade B (plain) in KCSE, with at least C+ in English, Swahili, Mathematics, and another core subject
• Candidate must agree to completing a three years training in this category which will lead to a Bachelor’s Degree in Defence and Security

2. General Service Officer Cadet Graduate

• This category  requires a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution
• Fifteen months is the training period of this category which the applicant must agree to

General Qualifications for KDF Recruitment 2024

• You must be a Kenya citizen with a valid and Government issued ID
• Candidate must be in possession of a KRA PIN certificate with a copy brought to the screening exercise 
• You must not be below the age of eighteen (18) years
• As a male applicant, your height must average 1.60m (5ft, 3in) and a weight of 54.55kg (120 I).
• The average height for a female applicant is 1.52m (5ft) and a minimum weight of 50.00.kg (110 Ib)
• Both male and female applicants must have a Body Mass Index (BMI) which does not exceed 30
• At the time of the application and the rest of the phases, female applicant must not be pregnant
• You must be medically and physically fit with your skin having no deep scars or tattoos

KDF Recruitment Process

1. Submission of Application: Submission of application are expected from candidates with interests in joining KDF once the recruitment has been announced.

2. Shortlisting: Candidates will be pre-selected/shortlisted based on satisfying the needed requirements.

3. Screening: Candidates will screened. However, this will only be applicable to shortlisted candidates.

4. Training: Successfully screened candidates will be trained. The details of the training will be sent to the candidates.

5. Final Selection: Upon the training completion, candidates will be selected, appointed, and assigned duties in the military.
