Eligibility Criteria for Kenya Prisons Recruitment 2024
The required qualifications generally needed for the recruitment exercise can be easily satisfied just as seen below;
- Applicant must be a Kenyan citizen
- Candidate applying must be in the possession of a National Identification Card
- You must be aged m between the 18 – 32 years old at the time of the screening

Educational Qualifications/Skills
1. General Cadets
As an applicant for any of the vacancies in the General Cadet position, you must strictly adhere to the following;
- A minimum mean grade of C+ at KCSE
- You must be a holder of a relevant undergraduate degree (Pathology, Dermatology, Gynecology…etc) from a recognized institution of higher learning
2. Medical Technicians
The Medical Technician applicant is expected to meet the following requirements;
- Applicant must possess a minimum mean grade of C (Plain) at KCSE or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
- Candidate must hold a relevant diploma/certificate from a recognized institution
- You must be registered with the relevant body where it is applicable.
3. Medical Practitioners
- Candidate applying for the vacancies in this position must possess a minimum mean grade of C+ in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)
- Applicant must have an Undergraduate from a recognized institution of
- You must hold a postgraduate degree from a recognized institution of higher learning and

4. Constables
- Applicant must have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education minimum grade of D+ or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- You must be aged between 18 – 28 years if you are a secondary school leaver
- Male applicant must be at least 5 feet 4 inches tall and 5 feet 2 inches tall for the female applicant
