Requirements for Ministry of Tourism Jobs 2024

Fundamentally, all applicant are expected to have a valid means of identification such as National Identity Card which validates their citizenship.
Applicant must have finish secondary education and awarded at least D+ mean grade in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E).
The pass grade in K.C.S.E must include English and Kiswahili languages.

Assistant Director

Candidates applying for the position of Assistant Director must have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Resource Conservation, or Management from a recognized institutions.
A Master’s degree in academic discipline related to any of the above is an added advantage.
Only candidates who have experience as Principal Wildlife Officer or any other Grade 8 level position for at least three (3) years will be accepted.

Deputy Director

Only applicants with Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources Management, Wildlife Management, Range Management, Environmental Science etc. can apply for this role.
Master’s degree and other professional qualification is serve an added advantage.
Working in CSG 8 or above for at least three (3) years is key. Applicant must have a clear understanding of Wildlife policies and legislation.

Director

For directorate positions, interested candidates must have first degree or equivalent qualification in Natural Resources Management, Wildlife Management, Range Management etc. from an accredited institution.
Should be a member of relevant professional organization and must have an active license or certification of practice.
A cumulative work experience of at least twelve (12) years including managerial positions are required for this position.

Evaluation and Evaluation Specialist

Those applying for this role must have a Degree in Mathematics and Statistics, Project Management, Economics or Social Science etc.
Must have an outstanding understanding of monitoring and evaluation
At least three (3) years of work experience will is required for this position.
